Province Upgrades


 

Province upgrades are an important means to improve the productivity and morale of a province. The following list provides an overview over the costs and benefits of the different upgrades.

 

Recruiting Office

  • Costs 1,000 pounds, 250 iron and 250 lumber
  • Production time: 15 minutes
  • Enables infantry recruitment
  • Operating costs: 250 pounds/day
  • Can be disabled
  • With this upgrade, new infantry units are automatically recruited in your province.

Workshop

  • Available from: Day 1
  • Can be built up to level 2
  • Costs 1,000 pounds, 500 iron, 500 lumber, and 500 Oil
  • Production time: 15 seconds for level 1, 30 minutes for level 2
  • Allows production of Armored Car (see the next page for details)

Barracks

  • Available from: Day 1
  • Costs: 4,000 pounds, 1,500 grain and 1,500 lumber
  • Production time: 1 day
  • Infantry recruitment rate: + 50% (level 1); + 100% (level 2)
  • Operating costs level 1: 500 pounds and 1,000 grain per day
  • Operating costs level 2: 1,000 pounds and 2,000 grain per day
  • Can be deactivated

Fortress

  • Available from: Day 1 (higher levels available every day)
  • Costs: 4,000 pounds, 2,000 iron per level
  • Can be built up to level 5
  • Production time: 1 day per level
  • Takes up to 90% of damage inflicted on an army in town (damage reduction in %: 100 - (50*(1/level)))
  • With each level built increases morale of province by up to 5%
  • Stationed troops will be hidden from enemy view if fortress is at least level 2

Harbour

  • Available from: Day 2
  • Costs: 10,000 pounds, 10,000 lumber
  • Production time: 3 days
  • Increases morale by up to 10%
  • Increases production by 25%
  • Shortens time needed for dis-/embarking troops by 50% (see chapter Warfare)

Railway

  • Available from: Day 5
  • Costs: 10,000 pounds, 5,000 wood, 3,000 iron ore, 1,000 coal
  • Production time: 3 days
  • Operating costs: 500 coal each day
  • Increases morale by up to 10%
  • Increases production by 33%
  • Increases travelling speed of troops to 250% (see chapter Warfare)
  • Can be deactivated

Factory

  • Requires a workshop level 2 to become available
  • Available from: Day 8 (higher levels available every 2 days)
  • Can be built up to level 4
  • Costs: 10,000 pounds, 2,500 iron ore, 2,500 wood, 2,500 oil
  • Production time: 2 days per level
  • Increases morale by up to 2.5% per level
  • Increases production by 8% per level
  • Allows production of mechanized weapons (see the next page for details)

Capital

  • Available from: Day 1
  • Costs: 2,000 pounds/province, 5,000 iron ore, 5,000 wood
  • Production time: 2 days
  • Completion will move the capital to this province
  • There can only be one capital in each country
  • Very important upgrade which should not be missing!



Aerodrome



  • Available from: Day 10
  • Costs 5,000 pounds, 2,000 lumber, 2,000 gas
  • Production time: 1 day
  • Allows the production and use of airplanes
  • Only available in gold rounds

 

 

Notes:

  • Productivity increase refers to the percentage of improvement that is added to the province's base production. Increases are not cumulative so the percentage is always applied to the base production and then added to the overall production.
  • Not all upgrade types are available from the beginning. Prerequisites are listed above.
  • Each upgrade can only be built once in a province, but some upgrades are available in multiple levels. In some provinces, harbours can be built at different locations. As only one harbour can be built per province, you should select a location that fits your logistic and military needs.
