The ranks are variable. If we change the "value" of some actions, like defeating a battleship for instance, the overal score will be recomputed and your rank might change. That is the same for all players so noone should feel disadvantaged, even if they drop a few ranks...
We are thinking about increasing the amount for destroying special units even further. We actually want to acheive a balance between economic and military scores.... Right now, the economic's are normally higher since they do not depend on other players to be active.
Within the next one or two weeks we will, eventually, introduce a community score that allows players to vote vor or maybe against good/bad articles in the newspaper. Oh I like those stats stuff... It's got so much potential
