How do I play? Where can I log in?
As Supremacy 1914 is for a maximum number of 13 players per game, there are multiple rounds going on in parallel (See List Games at the left...).To get into an own game, you either can:
- Register to a Game that is listed as open game (Follow the link Start / Join Game in your User menu), or
- Get some of your friends together and invite them to a new game round (the same link). This is the recommended way of starting to play.
Once the game has started, you will get a mail containing game login information (they are not the same as for the site) and you will find the game on the My Games link in your User Menu.
Note: You have to be a registered site user to start a new game or to register to an open one, but you can invite friends that are not registered and they can play without having to register; though registration is free and recommended.

You should take a look at the Technical FAQ.Why are the fields for entering my password or selecting a user are greyed out?
This happens if the connection to the server cannot be established. You can verify that by looking at the hostname www.supremacy1914.com on the bottom left of your login screen. If the field next to it is red, you are not connected.
This is most of the time due to local Firewall problems: The game starts a connection on port
If you normally can connect to the server, see the next FAQ entry.

If, normally, you do not encounter problems when logging in but have only sporadic problems it may be that you try to log in when we do a server update.
When we restart the gameserver, it takes a while of about 5 minutes or so until all the running games are available again for log-in. So when you try a couple of minutes later it normally will work again.
Most of these updates come along with a changelog entry so if you cannot log in, you might have a look at the front page. Though personally I write those entries after a successful server restart :)
The time at which we normally restart the server on update days is normally in the late evening GMT+1.
